The Dzogchen Shri Singha Foundation is pleased to announce our Dzogchen Urban Spring Retreat in San Diego under the guidance of Hazlitt Krog, Upasaka Bodhisattva Pema Bhadra Dorje, as authorized by His Eminence Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche. This one-week retreat will be held at the Dharma Bum Temple and will run the first week of June. This FREE one-week retreat presents an ideal opportunity to deepen your understanding and experience of the teachings of the Dzogchen Lineage.

The Dzogchen Urban Spring Retreat in San Diego will commence at 3 PM on Friday, May 31, 2013 and conclude at 3 PM on Friday, June 8, 2013. This year’s teaching and training will include in-depth and direct teachings on the sacred text The Buddha Path, the Buddhist fundamentals, and will include many practices including mantra recitation, reciting sacred text, visualizations, music making, light offerings, and food offerings.     1. Harmony in understanding the doctrines refers to the unified ways of thinking, which means what all members of the sangha share the same views. 2. Harmony in keeping the precepts means that all observe the same rules.
    3. Harmony in the sharing of materials means there is economic equality in daily life. These three harmonies are the essence of the Buddhist Sangha.     Is it OK to attend this retreat if I am not a Buddhist, and have no intention of becoming one? I am looking to deepen my meditation practice, and usually come to the meditation retreat on the first Saturday. I don't want to take someone's space who is a Buddhist, and wants to develop their practice.
