Fireworks Paddle at Stewart Lake

It's fireworks time!  Let's go float on Stewart Lake to watch the Woodbury fireworks.  Fireworks start a 7pm, so arrive by 6 so we can get unloaded and on the water.

Stewart Lake is actually three small connected lakes with nice calm water so this paddle is open to all levels of paddling skill.

We will meet at 6:00pm and paddle until we are done.  Stewart Lake usually has a wide variety of birds to enjoy and if we paddle near Route 45 you get the wonderful smell of McDonald's french fries.  Come on out and paddle.  Beware that parking may be tight due to the show.

PFDs are required.

I checked the event website, and it says that the band starts at 7, with the fireworks after dusk. (Assume 9-930 for dusk?) does anyone know the best place to park and put in the water? I am not really familiar with the area. Are there road closures planned?

There is a parking lot behind the YMCA at the lake. Don't think there will be any closures down that way.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
