Friday Night on Rancocas Creek

We will meet at the Mount Holly takeout Rancocas take out at Iron Works Park and do a short leisurely up and back paddle.  This paddle is suitable for all levels of paddlers.  We will paddle upstream as far as is comfortable and then paddle back with the flow.  This is a relatively wide open river with few obstacles, any size boat is suitable.

Bringing a light of some sort is recommended as we could be out past sunset. This is a county park, a PFD is required.

If you are using a GPS to find your way to the meeting location, the school next to the take-out is at 100 Wollner Drive Mt Holly, NJ 08060. Just drive past it and you should see the take-out on your right near the baseball fields.

Thunderstorms will cancel, notification by 4pm.  My cell phone # is [masked] if you have questions.

This was an awesome paddle. The bats put on quite a show at dusk when the mosquitoes came out. Thanks, Jason.

There was a mistake with the time of this meetup, I had originally scheduled for 6pm, then it was changed to 5pm (probably when I was updating the RSVP close time). It has been corrected back to 6pm. So, the correct time is 6pm.

I probably won't be able to make this run. I don't have my own Kayak. What is the cost of renting one? For future reference.

If you're anywhere near this paddle you can rent kayaks at the EMS in Moorestown at the mall. There is also Clark's Rentals for canoes in Pemberton.
