Why "The Filmmakers"

I've always been very interested in learning the craft of script writing and am hoping for some direction at this workshop.

Tell us about the last film you watched and liked

The last film I watched is 'Chennai Express'. I liked it for the fact that it does not take itself too seriously and is an out-and-out madcap take on popular cinema. As a South Indian, for once I did not find irritating caricatures of locals, the hero is as capable at laughing at himself as at the events unfolding in his life and the few stereotypes employed (eg. the typical Tamil goons) are tongue-in-cheek and good fun.

How did you find us?

I was looking for workshops on writing in Pune and found the link to your site.

Do you appreciate and understand the importance of an RSVP and that breaching this standard is "inexcusably rude" :)

Introduction

I'm a freelance writer and editor. I've co-authored a book on Temples and have written several articles on Indian history and culture. I also profile NGOs for a financial magazine. Currently, I am editing a book on Vaishnavism.

What Savita is saying about this Meetup Group

I find it an interesting group since I am looking to explore screenplay writing. Since this group is oriented towards writing for cinema, it's a good fit for me.
