The practice of Zikr is a heart-centered meditation in
motion using simple phrases with easy movements to integrate body, mind and spirit through awareness of breath, sound, movement, and silence. Many say they find ease in freeing the mind, refreshing the spirit, and embodying gratitude and joy.
Zikr has a deeply spiritual basis, yet there is no sermon,
no dogma, nothing to join, no leader to submit to.
The zikr offers each person the freedom to learn and
develop their own spiritual values at their own pace in their own way. It's a softening and polishing of the heart.
Bring an open mind and a desire to stir the soul. Invite folks you know, and let’s renew our friendships, expand our hearts, and intensify our joy. No musical or dance experience of any kind is required and everyone is welcome. Please join us!
We cultivate compassion within and without.....
Finding our home in the breath.....
Practicing simple presence and body awareness.....
Resonating with sound and loving intention......
For the benefit of all beings.
"And where is Union? It is in the heart stream.
It is the love-life which is beyond the mental sphere. The more the heart-life, the more the love-life, the more the acquisition of unity".
Murshid Samuel L. Lewis (Sufi Ahmed Murad Chisti)
