Workers Of The World, Unite!

This week we must recognize that we have been lied to! We have been told that the value of all goods is totally subjective and dependent on market transactions. We have been told that the labor of we, the workers, is only one of the inputs of production, and perhaps not even the most important input! We have been told that innovation requires that capital be under the control of greedy entrepreneurs, instead of collectively owned by the state. We have even been told that during recessions it is necessary for us to reduce our wages AND our spending in order for prosperity to return!

We must unite in the face of this despicable attempt by the running dog capitalists AND their lackeys the fascist corporations to further enslave us and steal our labor, for we know that we, the proletariat, are the real producers of wealth in the world, and it is the bourgeoisie who are exploiting us!

Don't be swayed by the false doctrines and outdated imperialist dogma of those who try to convince us of the superiority of free markets. If you stomach it you can listen to Richard Vedder on "Wages and Labor", and of course that great reactionary Henry Hazlitt in his " Economics in One Lesson" chapters 7,8, 19, 20 and 21 all discuss his misguided view of the worker. Once again Gene Callahan in Chapter 7 of his Economics for Real People tries but fails to convince us of our so-called "role" in economic production.

But we know better and I look forward to our meeting on Sunday where

In Solidarity!

we will continue to fight against the self-perpetuating autocracy of bourgeois capitalist exploiters.

Long live our revolutionary struggle for Social Democracy!

Vedder's 11 Commandments from Mises' Human Action (with my addition of the Potato Simile):

    1. The height of wage rates is determined on the market in the same way in which the prices of all commodities are determined (Workers Are Like Potatoes).
    2. Labor is very different in quality and each kind of labor renders specific services (Workers Are Like An Infinite Number Of Ways To Cook And Eat Potatoes).
    3. There prevails a continuous tendency in workers to shift from their branch to other similar occupations in which conditions seem to offer better opportunities. Thus finally every change in demand or supply in one sector affects all other sectors indirectly (Workers Are Like Potatoes With Legs).
    4. Within certain limits labor can be substituted for material factors of production and vice versa. The extent that such substitutions are resorted to depends on the height of wage rates and the prices of material factors (Workers Are Like Building A Car Out Of Potatoes).

      9. It has sometimes happened that the policies applied in poor relief have encouraged unwillingness to work and the idleness of able bodied adults (Workers Are Like Potatoes Who, If They Can, Will Move To Southern France).

      11. Whenever an employer asks for special performances which appear irksome or repulsive to the employees he must pay extra for excess dis-utility the worker must expect (Workers Are Potatoes Buried In Shit).

I'm confused by this posting for "Workers of the World Unite". It's rife with leftist terminology and cliches through and through. Or is that the point, to parody the Left? I thought The Green Anchor Meetup was about free market enterprise and freedom.

Ah Comrade, you have cleverly discovered our sekret plan - that we are actually a covert communist cell only pretending to be free market in order to avoid persecution by the right wing fascist state! I applaud your ability to see through our deception!
