Business Breakfast Series: Benefits Corporations (For-Profit + Social Mission)

Murtha Cullina Attorney's at Law present The Business Breakfast Series.  This seminar is designed to inform you about the rules and regulations, proposed and adopted, surrounding a Benefits Corporation and the possible advantages. This new type of legal entity is beginning to find root in the law of many states - coming soon to CT. This type of corporation represents a hybrid between for-profit work and charitable endeavors. The entity is for-profit, but contains certain social-based goals it strives to achieve while being a competitive business.

    This is a legislation that can bring about great things to CT. Our neighbors MA, NY and even VT have theirs in place already. So many of us have been tempted to set B-Corps there, but we are hopeful that the legislature will enact during the upcoming session. Look forward to this!
