Jeffrey Kerekes, Chris Randall and perhaps other ILNH photographers will discuss their insights and experience from running a photography driven community oriented website. As a hyperlocal website, they have over 3700 likes on Facebook and thousands of visitors each day.
The presentation will focus on a brief introduction of the project, and try to answer the following questions:
Why & how ILNH started?
How does online communications and social media work for the site and mission?
What kind of social media has worked best?
What was the biggest surprise about online communications?
What we learned about our visitors from their favorite posts?
Social Media Sync is serving up hot coffee, pancakes, and innovative ideas. Wake up and meet up with the Twittersphere, FourSquare, bloggers, and Facebook friends in the Greater New Haven Community to discuss innovative ways social media is being used to grow businesses, develop communities, and create social change. Each week we will feature a different social media professional to speak about how they are using social media in new ways. Social Media Sync is a great way to network, connect, and learn.
