I nee to enjoy what I do. Both my parents worked hard at jobs they didn't particularly love to give me as comfortable a life as they could and I want to honor that by entering a field I absolutely love and thriving in it. I've loved my work on student films and felt euphoric during my little experience on a professional set. I enjoy being around motivated, creative people with similar interests working toward a common goal. I want to get on sets as a Production Assistant to find my niche and develop the necessary skills. I have high creative aspirations but understand that opportunities will only come with time and diligence. To that end, I see this group as a means to get my foot in the door of the New Orleans film community.
I've worked as extra in the film Hell Baby as well as interned at the 2011 Cannes International Film Festival. Before that I worked on several student film projects while at the University of Southern Mississippi. I've been selected as an extra to appear in Spike Lee's upcoming project Oldboy, set to begin principal shooting at the end of October.
Mandeville, but I'll be attending in New Orleans
I am currently an extra and also looking to break into Production Assistant work.
I came to the South from Miami, Florida working in disaster recovery after Katrina and am pursuing a life here. My interpersonal communication skills, flexibility and positive outlook are my greatest assets.
