TRAINING FOR KIDS
If your child shows a lot of sparkle and personality and can take
simple direction, he or she may be perfect for commercials. Casting
directors are always looking for fresh, new faces to promote products, both in
print and on television, so they are more likely to cast a newcomer in
a leading role. The money earned is excellent, and it's a great
showcase for your young actor's talents. Kids from age six to twelve may
register for this unique class and learn the fundamentals of auditioning.
IN THE "KIDS DO COMMERCIALS, TOO" CLASS LEARN
- Theater games to practice basic acting skills
- How to sign in at auditions
- What is expected in the waiting room
- How to greet the casting director to make the best impression
- What to do during the audition
- How to hit marks and slate for the camera
- How to shine when the director calls, "Action!"
This one-and-a-half-hour workshop will help your child have fun
absorbing new and useful skills. Children five years old might be permitted
to join under certain circumstances. Ask Tara, the HURD administrator of
the workshops, for more details. You can contact her at (318) 573-0039
or e-mail her at email@example.com.
