The H.U.R.D. Casting Network - Helping yoU Reach Dreams Message Board › ★ LAST CHANCE FOR PRACTICAL IMPROVISATION! ★

Veleka G.

The Actors Alliance semester on "Practical Improvisation" starts tomorrow.  If you want to elevate your comedic and dramatic skills, join us to develop maximum confidence for your auditions and bookings.  Your agent will love you for it!

Plus actors enrolled in this semester will have the opportunity to audition for leading and supporting roles in the next The Actors Alliance production this spring.  It will be the sixth film we have produced, and this one will be a feature!

Improvisational acting shows you where you can and where you can't move and act freely.  In improv, you use the whole room to develop your characters and your scenario.

Once you know what your strengths are, you can put them to use.  And once you know what you have to improve, you will be in a safe, supportive environment with The Actors Alliance classes to make progress with your art.

Do you believe you can be a great actor?  You can be.  And this class will show you how.

The truth is, to do anything successfully, after the initial desire, you must believe it can be done.  Strong belief is the driving force behind all art that was once visualized before becoming a reality.

In show business, it’s not enough to have an “I think I can do it” attitude.  It has to be “I know I can do it!”

We are all blessed with talent.  It’s just a matter of noticing it and, more importantly, developing it. Anything is possible if you believe it.  As Henry Ford once said, “Whether you think you can or whether you think you can’t, you’re right.”

This is what acting class is for.  If you practice enough, you start developing a trust in your own abilities as you see the response you get from your agent and casting directors when you impress them at your auditions.

Even the best actors think they're terrible on bad days.  All aspiring actors have to walk the tightrope between having enough confidence to believe they have talent and something worthwhile to show, and being able to recognize when their acting is not working.

The market may respond to you, it may not; that's not really the measure of an actor.  Actors act. Nothing stops them.  And The Actors Alliance classes are created to help you reach the highest goals you set for yourself.

"I have been offered the role of Voodoo Priestess in a Web series that is shooting its second season. I could NOT have done it without your wonderful training!!"
~ ★ Sabrita Gordon, Picayune, MS

"I just signed with the wonderful people of Heyman Talent today and wanted to thank you! Your guidance and support is one of the main reasons actors continue to pursue their dream. Your encouragement and genuine kindness make the entertainment industry (and world) a better place for us all."
~ ★ Sherrod Sisco Pair, Metairie, LA

"Thanks for all your hard work and teaching me so much and getting me into the entertainment industry and with the best super agent, Ms. Jessica O'Day!"
~ ★ Antonio Sabatini, Covington, LA

"Just a note to thank you for your coaching. After having to pass on two auditions previously, I have been cast in Treme and may have a recurring role (well, two episodes anyway). I used your character building before giving them what I came up with. At the callback, the director asked me to internalize it for a second take. Your advice of 'less is more' did the trick! Love ya!"
~ ★ John Joly, Baton Rouge, LA

"Thank you so much for these opportunities! Last night really helped me understand a bigger concept of being an actress, which is to just be ready for anything! :):)"
~ ★ Emily Nguyen, Baton Rouge, LA

"Monday night class took me by surprise. Great exercises. Thanks!"
~ ★ William Gil, Berwick, LA

"You are the most valuable resource in the region for aspiring film actors. (And you can quote me on that.)"
~ ★ Tony Fennelly, New Orleans, LA
