On Saturday, February 15, Rebecca Hale and Veleka Gray are team-teaching three levels of workshops for ages seven to seniors and offering a special on head shots during the classes.

There are a few spots left for the workshops.  Send in your deposit now so you won't miss out on this exceptional training opportunity with both an agent and a producer.

Workshops will be held in Metairie.

• Noon: for children to learn how to audition.
• 2 p.m.: two-hour workshop for teens and adults on auditioning, acting for the camera, and set etiquette.
• 5 p.m.: advanced audition training for advanced actors only, ages 15 and up.

• CHILDREN'S WORKSHOP: 12 pm to 1:30 pm
AGES 7 to 13
Register at 11:45 a.m.

- Children must be able to read and exercise self-control, so no younger than seven.
- They will be working on commercials and/or film scripts that we provide.
- Will practice audition techniques and see themselves auditioning on television in class.

• BEGINNERS' WORKSHOP: 2 pm to 4 pm
AGES 13 and up
Register at 1:45 p.m.

- Two-hour interactive class on audition technique.
- How to behave at an audition and on the job.
- Will rehearse and see themselves auditioning on television in class.

• ADVANCED AUDITION: 5 pm to 8 pm
AGES 15 and up
Register at 4:45 p.m.

- Advanced acting and audition for the camera for professional actors.
- Must have either a lot of theater credits or speaking roles in films.  Extra work doesn't count.
- Actors will practice all possible audition situations and how to handle problems on set.
- Will get scripts in advance to memorize for workshop.
- Will rehearse advanced techniques and see themselves auditioning on television in class.


Each workshop is limited to sixteen actors, so send your deposit now to guarantee your place.

• Veleka Gray, who has taught acting in New Orleans, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and at the College of DuPage in Chicago for twenty-five years, is a star of stage, screen, and television and a contract player on six daytime dramas.  She has been a Blue Ribbon Judge for the National Emmy awards since 1972 and has produced six films with her students and has two films for The Actors Alliance in preproduction.

• Dr. Rebecca Hale, a drama teacher in the Talent Education Program in Jefferson Parish, has taught acting to middle-school, high-school, and college students for forty-one years.  In 2002 she received her Ph.D. in Theatre from New York University.  She has run a thriving theatrical agency since 1994 and represents actors all over the United States.
