Hi, do you ever meet closer to Mississauga?

    October 9, 2013

    • Adrian

At the moment, we just meet in a central Toronto locale, but we are certainly open to hosting an event in the west end if the interest is there. Andrew and I hear you as we both live west!

Is it possible to squeeze in some dramatic acting scenes into the next one?

    September 17, 2013

    • Andrew Z

We can certainly work on more character development games that will allow more room for trying different personalities, emotions and traits. Usually this is a more advanced level of improv but we we can introduce some building blocks. Thanks for the sugesstion Maya! :)

You can't beat a bit of improv, and our last meeting was awesome, as usual. Looking forward to our next meeting in October.

I can see the improv now, some imagined object in one hand, a half-priced wing in the other. Can it get any better?

That's good news, we have an indoor venue... with beer! See you all on Oct 6th

    2 · September 16, 2013

    • Adrian

Not only beer my friend, but half-priced wings may also be in the works!

Thanks to everyone that was able to come out today! We were lucky that the rain held off just long enough to get our improv juices flowing!

I am also happy to report that we have secured an AMAZING indoor area for us to continue our laughs. The pub is located at Yonge and Eglinton. Paid and street parking is available and it is only a 5 min walk (directly east along Yonge) from the Eglinton subway station. Stay tuned for the next meetup invite!

Hey, newbie here - just wondering what you do if it rains?

    September 11, 2013

    • Adrian

Oh no, not the 4-letter "r" word! We do have a place of shelter nearby that we can hit up if it gets too heavy. I'm thinking nothing but sunshine for Sunday, I can picture it in my mind's eye ;)

      1 · September 11, 2013

    • Andrew Z

So far (fingers, toes and eyes crossed) the weather seems fine for Sunday, although it may be a bit cooler so dress appropriately...(which reminds me to not wear my bathrob again).

Is everyone getting excited about our improv comedy meetup this weekend?! Gulp...the silence is killing me. Errr, well apparently the weather is supposed to be great! This will be our last outdoor meetup of the year so let's all take an opportunity to enjoy the fresh air one last time!

Sorry to hear that Jen! You will be missed! But please enjoy your trip! You can tell us all about it when you return. Hopefully you can bring back some of that East Coast humour as well! :)

During meetings — do you guys do comedy improv exclusively or is there room for some drama?

    September 6, 2013

    • Adrian

Hmm, good question Anna. What we do are improv warm-ups, games and scenes. I would say the scenes especially do comprise an element of drama (e.g. establishing character), but as improv they are unscripted compared to the typical dramatic play.

This sounds like so much fun! Looking forward to and afternoon of laughter and silliness, and meeting new people who like to laugh as much as I do.

    2 · August 24, 2013

    • Andrew Z

That's great Evylynn. Laughter is contagious...and addictive! In this case, both are positives!

  • Julius Poncelet M.

Oh! this sounds interesting!!!! This should be fun..... I hope to feel good about just being awkward, meeting new people in a creative outlet, or just inappropriately combust bottled emotional energy. PS I will bring Person!

    August 19, 2013

    • Adrian

Indeed Julius, it is interesting and fun!! Not to worry about the first-time jitters ... we always get a number of newbies attending, and take it nice and easy to help everyone get settled in :)
