Beginner and Intermediate Foxtrot Classes at Melange Dance and Events

The Foxtrot is a smooth, progressive dance characterized by long, continuous flowing movements across the dance floor. Danced to a wide variety of music from classic Big Band to popular music of today. A popular dance at parties and weddings, a great dance to know to just get out and dance with a partner with the feeling of elegance and sophistication. The dance is similar in its look to Waltz, although the rhythm is in a 4/4 timing.

Please let me know if there is anything in particular to wear. I'm a beginner!

Hi Darcy, You will want to wear comfortable shoes that you can move well on the floor. Don't wear rubber soled shoes or tennis shoes as they will stick to the floor too much. I look forward to meeting you!
