NB. The £2 deposit is entirely refunded and comes off the bill - this is a non-profit Meetup Group.
For our first Meetup (in the new style) we'll be discussing an absolute icon of pre-war literature and visiting a well-established Central London Italian restaurant.
Brave New World, written in 1932, Aldous Huxley's classic dystopian vision of a totalitarian future for Britain explores themes very relevant to today's world, not least that technology is not necessarily the panacea society seems to sometimes think it is. It's only 199 pages so you still have time to purchase and digest. Like it or loathe it, you won't forget it!
Da Mario's is a Covent Garden favourite, 'a genuine family run Italian restaurant.... small, intimate and homely, serving a broad selection of Italian home-style cuisine...' effuses their website (www.da-mario.co.uk ).
See you soon!
