Let's chase away those work-week blues with a butt-kicker hike to the top of Angel Vista where we'll be rewarded with expansive views of the Connayo and beyond! If that doesn't chase away the blues, maybe a little wine and cheese will.
Let's pack in some light snacks and wine to share at the top as we take in the sunset. Then we'll head back down (carefully) :D
Here's a photo from last week's hike. Nice view, huh?
I'll bring cups, napkins, plates, etc. You bring yummy stuff to share like dark chocolate, cheese 'n crackers, chips 'n dip, fruit 'n nuts... wait, don't we have enough of those? Hmmm... think anything that would go well with wine, like dark chocolate... or dark chocolate covered almonds. Did I mention dark chocolate? Red wine goes perfectly with dark chocolate... jus' sayin'
Some of this hike will be done in the dusk/dark. You can bring a flashlight if you desire. Wear layers, bring plenty of water, etc.
Perfect for really fit beginners as well as the more advanced hiker, this hike is not suitable for first timers/beginners.
DIRECTIONS: From Thousand Oaks heading north on the 101 towards Ventura, exit Ventu Park Rd. and turn left going over the freeway. Turn right onto Lynn Rd. and immediately keep an eye out for Susan Drive, which looks like a driveway, just at the other end of the park. Meet in the parking lot. We leave on time people, so if you're late, you can catch up. Or can you?
Disclaimer. I've got one, it involves you, so read it maybe... on the Pages Tab.
