Hey Everyone,

Let's try this one again!

This is a great trail to Calabasas Peak but don't let the word "peak" scare you since this is the moderate route.  We'll be doing a one-way hike so we'll gather at the meeting place and arrange a short carpool drive to the trailhead.  The hike will take us on a gradual climb to Calabasas Peak with spectacular views.  Then we'll head back down to the first parking lot with a total hike of approx 4.3 miles.  Afterwards, let's head over to Le Pain Quotidien in Calabasas to eat some excellent breakfast goodies and stare at all the wealth!

This hike is suitable for beginners as well as the more seasoned hiker.  Dogs are allowed on this one since the breakfast place has outdoor seating.  However,  keep in mind that we might not sit outside if it's too cold.

DISTANCE: approx. 4 miles

ELEV GAIN/LOSS: approx 900 ft.

DURATION: 2-3 hours not including breakfast

The map link should be accurate.

DIRECTIONS:

From the 101 freeway heading south towards Los Angeles, exit Las Virgines and turn right going towards the beach.  After 2.8 miles turn left (east) on Mulholland.  Drive approx 4 miles and turn right on Stunt Road.  Drive one mile.  Park on the right side of the road.

From PCH, take Malibu Canyon Road until it becomes Las Virgenes Road. Turn right on to Mulholland Highway and take that to Stunt Road as described above.

Hey, have you read my DISCLAIMER on the Pages Tab?  It's a great read, and anyone who attends this hike is bound by it's terms and conditions!

Hey Katya. My friend and I drove around forever and couldn't find the trail. I didn't have your number from the last event. We checked the site for this event, but unfortunately it wasn't posted. We eventually decided to go on another hike. Sorry we missed the group. :(

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
