I just moved from the Bay Area, California where I trained with the Reclaiming Collective in San Francisco. I've circled with a coven for more than 10 years. I'm looking for connection with other Wiccans here in the Hudson Valley.
Hi Allison: This is the direction posted: "Please bring no more than 1,200 words, double spaced, to read out loud to the group. You can define the group's focus and type of feedback you want, for eg. "please listen for sentence length and flow;" or "where do you really feel this character?" Every writer has 12 to 20 minutes for reading and feedback depending on how many writers attend." Might want to add "bring copies for each member attending". Regards...Diana
Hi Allison, My schedule has finally cleared up and I'm glad I can make this meet-up.
Hi, Allison: I didn't say my novel was published. I said it was edited and ready! I only wish I could say that. Looking forward to Wednesday.
No problem, I don't have to read. If it's the first meeting, I would imagine you're going to set time aside to discuss how it's going to be run or maybe that has been decided. Anyway, I am interested and curious and since i am late to the table so to speak, its OK with me if others read. I will critique or listen, whatever's needed. Looking forward.
The group's first meeting. Cool. I said I wasn't going to read. Can I change my mind? Must I decide now?
Are most of the people from Cornwall?
Thanks, Allison. I'm going to try my best to make it tonight.
Thanks for the suggestion about bringing in a chapter at a time; I usually just bring something shorter, but that would be a good way to get some regular feedback on a longer piece.
See you on Wednesday!
Thanks Allison, I am excited about being a part of the group...enjoy the holiday weekend!
Oh, by the way, I am interested in mindfulness meditation. I go to a weekly Tibetan meditation group at the Garrison Institute (on Tuesdays) and, at times, to the Blue Cliff Monastery in Pine Bush, NY on their days of mindfulness (Zen Buddhism - Thich Nhat Hahn)
