I was raised in Prestonwood Baptist Church as a child. When I moved to Grapevine, my new home was White's Chapel UMC. I studied Christian Ministries at Dallas Baptist University.
I have a profound interest in medical ethics. My colleagues and I are constantly facing the issue of when death truly happens, & what defines that event. With the increase in technology, health care providers can keep someone alive for years. We often question to what extent should we intervene in the natural course of an illness. Do we keep a person alive, breathing only on a ventilator, or do we take into account the quality of life that person has? There are many shades of grey, & no one wants to play God. My interests also include quotes by Gandhi that I find haunting, "I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ." “If Christians would really live according to the teachings of Christ, as found in the Bible, all of India would be Christian today,” he added. How do we approach a world that is skeptical, and truly try to be the hands and feet of Christ? How can we better share our beliefs so that others do no feel alienated by them?
Hello, my name is Kimberly, and I live in Grapevine. I attend White's Chapel UMC in Southlake. I am passionate about my three girls, reading, traveling, and of course my relationship with my Lord, Jesus Christ. This group sounds fascinating!
