National PROTEST - Operation Can You HEAR US Now - MEDIA gets a TEA Party!

NBC STUDIOS (map)

Selected By: Maggie Acerra

Our liberty depends on the freedom of the press, and that cannot be limited without being lost.
Thomas Jefferson

Could October 17th, 2009 be another great day in American history, a day when America turns on the main stream press and calls them to account? Remember, "We surround THEM." It would sure be hard to ignore hundreds or thousands of individual tea parties held right outside the media's front door. Let's see if they can hear us now...

If you couldn't participate in the National Tea Party in D.C., you won't want to miss this next grassroots event!

It's time to fight the Media and their acts of stifling Free Speech and the TRUTH about the corruption and abuse by our government. It is imperative that a free society have a free press. Not a media that gets tingles up their legs over a political candidate, not a press that refuses to ask the tough questions, to be complicit in acts by this government against the citizens of this country is CRIMINAL!

This will be a NATIONWIDE Event that will take place at all Main Stream Media Outlets or as we know them - The government's State Run Media Corps.

It's time to make them "The Big Story"

It's time to force them to TELL THE TRUTH!!!!!!!

This is it! We should have done this right after the Tax Day protests. Who knew that the real truth on the supposed Free Press in this country would be so obscene? A "Free Press" that lies, distorts, and omits even when confronted with the truth? This is what a STATE RUN media looks like and we MUST TURN UP THE HEAT on them as well.
Tell your family, friends, and neighbors so they can join us on Saturday - October 17th.
WE are going to throw a TEA Party for the media!

What a GREAT Protest! Everybody was focused and energized! Too bad the cowards at NBC Studios hid behind closed blinds. We'll have to bring 50 bullhorns and a 100 cowbells to the next one! I was so proud to be part of this group and the protest. The signs were really creative and everyone kept their cool. It was great meeting Shelli and her groups from the Hemet - Murietta TEA Party (Riverside County) and the Sons of Liberty/Infidel Brotherhood motorcycle riders club showed up to support the protest, too. Thank you EVERYONE!!!

Good location. Good parking availability. Good turnout. The people from the various groups were friendly and animated. IWe had good interation and discussion with the police officers present (who appreciated our civility) and passers by who were curious as to what we were doing. There was alot more activity in that area than I anticipated. People saw our message but I am not sure the media did.

Lots of support from the people passing by but a couple disgusting negative (Nazi's, racists) comments and one finger gesture. This is my fourth 'ever' rally/townhall and it's no big deal but first time I've experienced this. I'm sure it won't be the last. Downtown is still full of street wackos though. Looking forward to next week's Tea Party Express Bus send off.

Peaceful patriots... people were so nice. Everyone afraid for their country and freedom. Glad to be a part of the protest.

I really enjoyed myself! I thought it was great that the public acknowledged what we were doing out there. As to whether the media actually got the message, I saw a few photographer-types but I'm unsure if they were actual reporters. So it remains to be seen what impact we had. A sour note is that some people had signs that, while maybe very personal and heartfelt, were a bit over the top, such as Michelle Obama is a b**ch! I am a retired sailor so I've heard it all but sentiments such as that sign were, IMO, out of place in an effort to persuade the media more to our way of thinking.
