Intro to Acro Yoga Workshop

Acro Yoga is a practice that involves stacking people on top of each other in various poses and interesting transitions to move between them. We will start with basic moves to introduce the concepts of communication, balance, and trust to build upon this success to work up to more challenging positions. After we are warmed up, a short sequence will be introduced and the focus will shift to teaching you how to flow through these moves. We will conclude with a set of Thai massage stretches. By the end of this workshop, you will have a repertoire of basic acro yoga moves to be able to show friends and family. You will receive an illustrated manual with the material covered in the workshop. Refreshments and snacks will be served. You do not need to come with a partner. No experience is needed and participants need only to be height / weight proportionate, an average fitness level, injury free, and able to touch their toes. This is a wonderful way to get started with the variety of Acro Yoga classes at Knotty Yoga. We will also have a set of acro yoga and aerial acrobatics performances by the staff and students of Knotty Yoga during the workshop. There will be a HEAVY LGBT attendance at the event and three of the performers will be gay. Sign up at:

Sounds like a lot of fun. :) Looks like you pay in advance for the workshop via the website? (That would make sense given you have to know how many snacks to provide, etc.)

Yeah, I'm also trying to have one helper / assistant for every two students so it helps to know on that front too. Definitely looking forward to meeting you!
