Marra Farm is a non-profit community farm that grows produce for the food bank. It is one of the lowest overhead, purest non-profits I have worked with. The woman who runs it is an amazing and inspirational person and has become like second family to me in the seven years I have been volunteering there.
I always arrange a team to clean up the farm and put things in storage for the winter and to do the resurrection in the spring. It's Easter time for the farm...
I need about six people but eight or more would be ideal. At the minimum, I need two at the storage shed, two maning the truck, and two at the farm to unload and organize. There is always more work than that to do.
Please pass this along to friends!
We will also be doing a potluck lunch. It will be a nice way to chat and make some new friends.
Directions are at:
The project is in South Park in the Cloverdale neighborhood.
The project is 10am-2pm. Please let me know if you can make it and I’ll send you a link to the Facebook event. Sorry for the late notice! My friend who runs the org just got back from spending the winter down South. It’s supposed to be a sunny, 60+ degree day!
