Another great game day! A new record 16 gamers. I wish I could say it was the best one yet, but I can't...game day just isn't the same without Melissa and Charlie. :( It was great to meet new gamers Steffan, Rhette, John and Francis. Thanks for the game of chess, Rhette. Steffan, I enjoyed gaming with you. John and Francis, hopefully I can game with you next time. Thanks to Chris and Erin for bringing some snacks. Thanks to everyone who brought games, taught games, helped setup and helped break down. A big thanks to Steffan for his donation to the YMCA (my wife was very excited to hear that)!

Oh, and thanks to Bryan and Xander for putting in the effort to make an appearance. I appreciate it!

I'm making an executive decision now...I'm playing something, other than Werewolf, with Chris and Erin next time. Games played: Chess, Lost Cities, Lords of Waterdeep, Power Grid, 7 Wonders, Bang!, Chronicles, Dominion, Bora Bora and Suburbia.

Lol. Melissa and Charlie hold a special place in my heart, because they were at the original International Tabletop Day event and this was the first TTR event they ever missed. Long story, but they were even at one of my events that I wasn't at! There were many weeks in the beginning that it was just the three of us. They are no less than co-founders of TTR. Lou, you were wave 2...you are also special! Of course, I love having Brian, Hope and Xander there too. There's something about having an energetic, well behaved 8 year old around who likes playing fairly complex strategy games and does it with a great gaming attitude.

So, while I love the group as a whole, those that helped us survive in our infancy are "special" to me.

I loved this, are we doing this again next weekend?

Btw, I've only played 5 or 6 games of Suburbia, but I've never played one that close. Still, every game I've played has been decided by the goals.

I trust I'm butchering the name, but thanks to Jacomo for teaching 7 Wonders, and making it "click" for me. Very fun, and it looked like I knew what I was doing for a change. A great time seeing everyone, and getting in Power Grid, and base Dominion, also.

Hahaha, that is hilarious! Giacomo just informed me that I was misspelling his name. Thanks for running Power Grid, Lou. It always great to see you!

Giacomo! That makes much more sense. I even googled the name, and I got Jacomo.

Enjoyed playing 7Wonders. Sorry I had to pull Xander from Waterdeep. Art, thank you for finishing his game.

    Bringing Power Grid. Who's in?

Any preferred map? I have US/Germany, but I'll see what Battleground has.

    • Brian

I've been wanting to play that for awhile. Not sure if I'm coming on Saturday though.

Wish I could come, but have plans already. Hopefully can make it next time. Cheers!

Hope to see you next time. Probably the 21st for one of my events.

    Does anyone going have agricola?

    December 1, 2013

    • Art

I do not. My collection tends to complement my gaming friends in Worcester. I invest on games that they don't own. We have very little overlap. That is the only reason that I haven't gotten Agricola. That and I would prefer Le Havre.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
