I've taught myself php, and am presently taking a class for it, but only because ruby and ruby on rails are not available, which i love and am learning as we speak (or type.) My goal is to bridge the gap between code and art work, while being strong in both fields. My degree will be in web technologies and i am just about there. I know the HTMLs, the CSSs, and some Java-script, and am currently learning jQuery as well. I have done design and animation in flash, and it is pretty much my go to program to starting anything, which i will then bring into Photoshop, or illustrator(for print), if it isn't already perfect. I like swift3d, blender, and will one day have time to master Zbrush. I have worked on pixel art production work for Mazda, Lego, and a Canadian bell mobile company. Also working on learning android, and would learn ios if apple didn't have it's head so far up it's own A$# (yes I'm referring to flash)
have not really tried, just now putting my toe into the water.
love the rubies, even tho I'm a novice... Jquery is nice, but still novice. I love flash and excel in using it for drawing and animation, but have not mastered action-script yet. My HTML and CSS skills are pretty keen, while my java-script is not very strong. Blender and Zbrush RoxMySox tho i don't have a copy of zbrush @ the moment to learn with :( I have no idea where all this would put me or even if a blended position of art and code even exists, but I'd thought i'd join and at-least get fed, RIGHT?
have done art work, writing and used computers all my life. I'm the it guy for all my friends, although it does not pay very well. I've made a living off cooking, and would be happy to help with the feeding part of this group.
Good to see people who care about people trying to get into the industry
