For fearless foodies across the emirate looking to spice up their culinary repertoire and try some of Dubai's more diverse dining experiences.
If you are passionate about food, and dining out means more than just Friday brunch or five-star chefs, then join us as we go in search of the city's hidden epicurean gems.
From streetside shawarma to back alley biryani..share your favourite foodie haunts and try out new ones every month with a great group of people.
We try to keep the cost person anywhere between an average of AED 80 - 150 where possible (food only, drinks paid upon individual consumption, although dependent on the cuisine and menu we have peaked at AED 180 on rare occasions) and normally split the bill between the group (no fussy, single checks and confused waiters!). If we are a large group, then we will usually pre-arrange a set menu with several options ahead of the event. We advise in advance if credit cards are not accepted, and please do bring change/small bills with you on the day.
Attending an event:
1) A message with details of potential cuisines/venues is sent out asap after the previous Meetup and members have the opportunity to vote
2) Once the Meetup is fully subscribed, a waitlist goes into effect. Waitlisted members will be notified of the availability/non-availability of spots as others drop out
3) Around 7 days prior to the event, we send out a request for RECONFIRMATION from all those who signed up (this must include a contact telephone number in case we need to get hold of you on the day). If you don't reconfirm by the cut-off date, then your spot will be offered to somebody on the waitlist.
4) Members who are event no-shows or who consistently fail to reconfirm/cancel at the very last minute with flimsy excuses will be removed from the group after two strikes.
So, if you love good food, good company and know some great undiscovered dining delights - we look forward to welcoming you to The Tiffin Club!
PS We are an adult group, not family oriented. Nothing personal, it's just the dynamic of the group and to keep the majority happy. If anyone wants to set up events specifically for families, then feel free - am sure we can accommodate it as a sub-group i.e. for Iftars or similar events that aren't traditional dinners.
