Yowsa! This is better than restaurant week! A three course dinner and wine pairings with each course for only $35!

How excited am I? Very!

The Beacon Bar and Grill is a tad off Dupont Circle in the (you'd never guess) Beacon Hotel. A few of us had breakfast there after the one year anniversary party and it's a place that's been percolating in the back of my mind for a while now. But imagine my glee when I talked the place into not only having our large raucous group there, but also giving us the Saturday special on a Friday. Check out the fine menu below! I can't wait!

Notes:
1. . If you RSVP "YES" please make sure you can definitely make it. With 1,600+ members and limited seating, we cannot afford no-shows - it's unfair to the other members who would like to attend and also to the organizers who have to explain to the restaurant why the reserved # of guests didn't show.

2. If you'd like to attend a full event, check back as attendees cancel as late as noon the day of the event.

3. When figuring the bill, remember, to factor in the required 30% for tip / tax in addition to the food / beverages you order as defined in our FAQs HERE.

4. The closest metro station is: Dupont Circle or Farragut North
Also, try using the Trip Advisor at the WMATA website.

5. NEW MEMBERS or 1st TIME EVENT GO-ERS, if you have questions about the group, RSVPs, or the overall dining event process, visit our FAQs in the Message Board area which can be found HERE and our No-Show Policy can be found HERE.

Gabrielle was a great hostess! It was a shame about the restaurant messing up the reservation, but they recovered well and were nice about trying to make up for it.
    •  the restuarant lost our reservations so they didn't have enough staff t support our group

I had a great time! The restaurant treated us well after the snafu. I'm thinking of going back when I can get the tuna and chocolate (hopefully in separate dishes).
    •  Gabrielle was an amazing, organized, gracious hostess.
    •  Gabrielle always organizes a first class event, and this one was no exception. Lots of good conversation in a nice venue made it a very enjoyable evening.
    •  Considering the Van, the catering manager, didn't pass along info about our rez, the staff did a great job recovering. See www.theweeklydinner.com for more details. Food was good, company better!
    •  Nice place, great company, good food, good service, super leader!
    •  Martha, Murriel, Kathy, Mo, Terry, and of course Gabby made it a great event.
    •  Gabrielle is such a gracious host and handled the situation with the restaurant losing our reservation with ease and calmness. It was great to catch up with some of the regulars and talk more with some new people.
    •  The restaurant lost our reservation, but quickly make efforts to fix things. Our group was given a private dining room. There were a few changes to the set meal, but to make up for the mistake we were given a 15% discount! The food and wine pairings were decent, but not memorable. The thing that really made the evening was the people!!! It was a really fun crowd. :-D
    •  Gabrielle did a fantastic job, especially considering our reservation was "lost"! The food was good, the venue nice, but it was the company that made it so much fun!
