************************************

The owners of one of my favorite French restaurants in DC, have (to my delight), decided to expand the family with a sister for the oh-so-delicious Bistro Lepic.

The newcomer, La Piquette, is a  neighborhood Bistrot that, arguably, stays faithful to its French roots offering the best French dishes on this side of the Atlantic (or, Wisconsin and Connecticut Avenue -at least).  Executive Chef Francis Layrle prepares a daily menu with farm raised and seasonal fresh ingredients; and the bar offers a carefully curated wine selection and house cocktails.

Although I've not yet had the pleasure of dining at La Piquette -definitely look forward to doing so now.... hope you'll join me!

See you there!

CLOSEST METROCleveland Park [Red Line]. This is a longer walk fyi. Or consider taking a connecting bus.

For DC residents, the 32 /36 buses run up and down Wisconsin Avenue every 30 minutes Sunday evenings.

Parking: There is only street parking (it's Sunday though)

For directions using the Metro, try using the Trip Planner at the WMATA website.

Need to Contact the Restaurant? [i.e. confirm location, notify to the group if running late, etc.]. Text on your phone to 466453 (GOOGLE) and type the restaurant name + the city/state in the message body. Google Business Services will text you back with the address and phone #!

************************************

1. Limited to 14 slots.

2. If you RSVP "YES" please make sure you can definitely make it. With 3,900+ members and limited seating, we cannot afford no-shows. It's unfair to the other members who would like to attend and also to the organizers who have to explain to the restaurant why the reserved # of guests didn't show (can damage our reputation). No-Show rules apply.

3. Event already full?, waitlist for the event!. Use the Waitlist option (the Organizer for each event will enable this as needed). Also, check back regularly as attendees have been known to cancel up to Noon the day of the event.

4. Billing (add 30% tax/tip to your bill). Remember, include the required 30% for tip / tax in addition to the food / beverages you order as defined in our FAQs.

5. NEW MEMBERS or 1st TIME EVENT GO-ERS, if you have questions about the group, RSVPs, or the overall dining event process, visit our FAQs and our No-Show Policy.

Good food (loved the Saffron Burride), good company: Weekly Dinner meetup at its best. Thanks Steve, for pinch hitting for Jenn at the last minute! (and for letting me know how *NOT* to handle close encounters with sharks :). Server was a little lost in translation (and unsettled by owner's pitching in with our large table), but looked to be ready to adapt quickly to US ways, in lock-sync with the bistro's maturing.

Sorry about the slippery fingers. Hi all, I want to thank you Steve for arranging this dining experience and also to mention that La Piquette's Butternut Squash soup was delicious and just a tad sweet. The chunks of cut up squash and seasonings added a very nice touch. This soup is perfect for the ensuing cold, brrrr weather that is about to invade our area. Bonne chance to La Nouvelle restaurant La Piquette and Bon Appetite to all of us foodies in our Meet Up weekly dining group. Best and merci beaucoup,

Bonne matin! Oh my gosh! My sincere apologies for the preceding excessive posts! I truly thought other than the last one that I did press the POST button on that the other posts got deleted as they were disappearing without me pressing the POST Button. I'm so sorry. Shoshana
