Menu is ideal for exploring with smaller plates if so inclined.

FOOD: Executive Chef Matt Kuhn is serving-up modern, creative American cuisine (Asian, Mediterranean, and American flavors) using seasonal ingredients.

The menu here is constantly changing, Chef is always in the mood to explore and be inventive (with am emphasis on texture and flavors) . You'll notice small-portion 'Savory Snacks' (Crispy Chickpeas are tasty) to tapas-portioned 'Small Bites' through normal sized Entrees. In the Pre-Entree dishes I've recently tried and liked include the Crispy Brussel Sprouts (w/ chestnuts, cranberries, maple-grain mustard creme fraiche), general Charcuterie, and ever-changin small plates options. For Entrees try their pastas, pizza program, main entrees (like their interesting take on Shrimp & Grits w/ pan roasted mayan shrimp, plantation grits, braised peppers, chermoula, merguez), etc. Good place for vegetarians too! 

Similar to eating at The Oval Room & Minibar, portion size is comfortable but not necessarily huge.  

Nice by-the-glass selection of wine, & good cocktails here. Service is pleasant & attentive.

SPACE: Still a nice space after the substantial remodeling a couple of years back that fused the formerly separate Bardeo (the wine bar) and Ardeo (restaurant). Now it's a combined modern but nice-looking space. Can be a bit chatty though if the place is crowded.

CLOSEST METRO: Cleveland Park [Red Line]. Quick 1-block walk from the metro (make a right at the metro T-exit).

For directions using the Metro, try using the Trip Planner at the WMATA website.

Parking: There's $8 limited Valet Parking available. Otherwise there's both metered street marking or neighborhood parking (not impossible within a couple of blocks, but recommend come early).

Need to Contact the Restaurant? [i.e. confirm location, notify to the group if running late, etc.]. Text on your phone to 466453 (GOOGLE) and type the restaurant name + the city/state in the message body. Google Business Services will text you back with the address and phone #!


1. Limited to 20 slots.

2. If you RSVP "YES" please make sure you can definitely make it. With 3,900+ members and limited seating, we cannot afford no-shows. It's unfair to the other members who would like to attend and also to the organizers who have to explain to the restaurant why the reserved # of guests didn't show (can damage our reputation). No-Show rules apply.

3. Event already full?, waitlist for the event!. Use the Waitlist option (the Organizer for each event will enable this as needed). Also, check back regularly as attendees have been known to cancel up to Noon the day of the event.

4. Billing (add 30% tax/tip to your bill). Remember, include the required 30% for tip / tax in addition to the food / beverages you order as defined in our FAQs.
