What a better way to celebrate Mardi Gras aka Fat Tuesday than to dine at an authentic Creole restaurant in Alexandria, VA.  Please join us fat Two Nineteen Restaurant on Tuesday February 12 at 700pm.

Housed in a historic 19th century townhouse blocks from the waterfront, 219 has for 40 years been a beacon for the most authentic gourmet creole experience possible outside of greater New Orleans. Executive Chef Michael Walters has taken things one step further and introduced a truly unique gourmet butcher experience--USDA Prime steaks dry-aged 21 days in house and cut to order to your exact specifications. Your meal is complemented by a 750+ bottle wine list and a massive whiskey selection.

Unlike most of historic Alexandria’s 18th century architecture, the building that houses the Two Nineteen Restaurant is over one hundred years old. Built in 1890 by the prosperous merchant Lewis Mac Kenzie, this elegant home reflects the Victorian style of the 19th century: an austere and sober red-brick exterior with an ornate but comfortable interior, so comfortable that it’s rumored that the ghost of the last private tenant. Mrs. Edna M. Royster refuses to move out and haunts the building to this day.

After dinner we could enjoy blues/jazz music in the spacious second story lounge.

Whether your taste runs towards alligator and étouffée, or to succulent aged steaks, we invite you to rediscover your favorite Old Town institution.

As they say in Louisiana, Laissez les bons temps rouler or Let the good times roll!

Looking forward to seeing you, Mark

I am Renee's date. She just signed up less than an hour ago and here I am on the waiting list. Perhaps you can all share a story about catching the Metro and having the door close between you and your date.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
