Ok, I've been dying to try this little French Bistro for a year or so but somehow never got around to it until recently. It was indeed a lovely meal; escargots for an appetizer, poulet roti and a beautiful creme caramel for dessert...yum.

Terasol (which literaly means "Earth and Sun") began as a charming little artisan's shop which then offered light fare until maturing into the "lovechild" of Alan Moin and Sabrina Ousmaal; who hired a new chef and expanded its kitchen and menu. The recently appointed chef is Hector Guerra, who previously worked at the Caucus Room, the original Galileo, and under Yannick Cam at Le Pavillon. Sticking to what has worked, the accessible menu of soups, salads, sandwiches, quiches and entrees has not changed dramatically -although Guerra has added paninis, a few more main courses and specials. Now with a new deep fryer he can also serve up homemade chips and fries.

Featured on Table Talk with Carole Sugarman, Scout Mob and Durban Daddy, Terasol is described as "a gem with sparkle", and a place to enjoy Parisian classics in a gallery setting with a smile...

Thus, I am convinced this little place (albeit distant "cousin" of Chat Noir and Le Grenier, (the Chef and owners know each other), could satisfy the palate of other weekly dinner members since mine was so satisfyingly appeased.

 Oh yes. After dark on weekends, this gallery transforms into a romantic jazz club, so you get to savor the Croque Monsieur while simultaneously enjoying some fabulous tunes...

==> Tax/Tip combo is our required 30% tax/tip policy ( see the FAQs for more details)
==> Limited to 14 slots

See you there!

CLOSEST METRO: Friendship Heights (Red Line).

For directions using the Metro, try using the Trip Planner at the WMATA website.

Need to Contact the Restaurant? [i.e. confirm location, notify to the group if running late, etc.]. Text on your phone to 466453 (GOOGLE) and type the restaurant name + the city/state in the message body. Google Business Services will text you back with the address and phone #!

1. Limited to 14 slots.

2. If you RSVP "YES" please make sure you can definitely make it. With 3,500+ members and limited seating, we cannot afford no-shows. It's unfair to the other members who would like to attend and also to the organizers who have to explain to the restaurant why the reserved # of guests didn't show (can damage our reputation). No-Show rules apply.

3. Event already full?, waitlist for the event!. Use the Waitlist option (the Organizer for each event will enable this as needed). Also, check back regularly as attendees have been known to cancel up to Noon the day of the event.

4. Billing (add 30% tax/tip to your bill). Remember, include the required 30% for tip / tax in addition to the food / beverages you order as defined in our FAQs.

5. NEW MEMBERS or 1st TIME EVENT GO-ERS, if you have questions about the group, RSVPs, or the overall dining event process, visit our FAQs and our No-Show Policy.
