Discussion - Is Pluto Really Not a Planet?

A couple years ago, astronomers from around the world got together to re-define the word 'planet'. The result was that Pluto did not meet the new requirements to be called a planet. Many people have been disappointed with this decision. As the holiday season ends, the Ben Franklin Thinking Society will pick up this debate. We will review the new definition of planet and discuss whether this makes sense. Ultimately we will have our own debate. Should Pluto be a planet?

Interesting discussion about the solar system in general. Got off topic towards the end, something about Thos. Jefferson group.

I'm wondering why people seem to have have an emotional investment in planets.
