Merriam-Webster defines inspiration as something that makes someone want to do something or that gives someone an idea about what to do or create : a force or influence that inspires someone (also as the drawing of air into the lungs). In a world where inspiration is everywhere, whether it be TED talks, new books, heart warming stories on the news, heroes in the news, children, etc, are we satiated with potential inspiration? What was the last thing that inspired you and did it actually lead to action? Is something inspirational if no action follows? Are we inactive because we are waiting for inspiration? Is the word inspiration being overused?
I am interested in discussing these points as well as learning about the types of things that inspire action. What motivates you to move, change, or take action? If we are satiated on potential inspiration is it harder to decide what kind of actions to take?
At this meeting I would like all that attend to bring with them a story of something that inspired them in the last year and how that led into action. If no action was taken be ready to discuss why you think that is.
