Online video - strategy, tactics and techniques

Online video strategy, tactics and techniques by the two "Jeffs" (or "Geoffs" depending who you ask): Jeff and Geoff from Zoom - The Online video Agency will be covering what’s trending with online video and how organizations are using video to engage customers, employees and the public.

The presentation will cover Zoom’s top predictions for online video in 2012 as well as look at how companies have integrated video into their communication plans.

Recent reports state that in 2011, 201.4 billion videos were viewed online from a home or work location, with the global viewing audience reaching 1.2 billion unique viewers. Today, over half of all internet traffic is video, and it’s been predicted that in the next three years, that number will jump to over 90%. Online video isn’t just for entertainment anymore, it’s fast become a preferred method of communication and how people seek information. More and more, businesses are using video to train, educate, market and engage with audiences.

Zoom is an Online Video Agency that works with businesses on the Planning, Production and Delivery of everything online video. Zoom goes beyond producing videos. They create Processes, mould Strategies and deliver Campaigns. They don’t look at videos as a medium for a specific project, but how video can fit within your communication strategy to make it more effective and efficient.

Found the presentation less than thrilling as the content was more on advertising and promotion, and less on innovative means to make video.

Geetha - if you did not RSVP to attend then you don't need to un-RSVP - not to worry. That message went to all 751 members of the group. Vipul and Kathryn - the guys at Zoom are working on recording the event and making it available for later playback - not yet 100% confirmed but let's say probable. Jonathan - 6 pm - 7 pm is the speaking portion usually, depending on how long Q&A goes. Good idea on the hashtag promo for newbies! Sebastian - as always, looking forward to seeing you out! Cheers!

Just got the message, and I'm very excited to be attending this talk. I work in online video and I'm interested in what other people are doing with it. I'm on twitter as @hangarcat

If it is recorded / if there are notes / slides to share I would much appreciate it! I've changed my RSVP as I am double-booked but would love to check out materials or notes.

This is my first meetup, and I was wondering: how long does the speaking portion usually last for? I was also going to ask what the Twitter hashtag was, but I found it on my own. For future events, perhaps it would be a good idea to publicize #TTyyc?

Maybe I never booked myself in - I dont see it. I was hoping someone else from the waiting list could take it. I got this mail saying - if you cant attend please remove yourself. Thanks.

geetha, on the main event page, on the top right, there's a big green box that says "Your RSVP" with a link that says "change RSVP". Click that and change it to not attending.

I'll ask the speakers Vipul whether that's possible. AFAIK we had not planned it but that doesn't mean no! Stay tuned.
