Third Tuesday: Social Media and PR May Meetup

Join us at a special Third Tuesday on the eve of the mesh conference. We'll have the founders of mesh - Mark Evans, Mathew Ingram, Mike McDerment, Rob Hyndman, and Stuart MacDonald - as our special guests. In the last year, Toronto has emerged as a social media hot spot. And mesh has played a significant role by bringing the community together in an event that draws A list speakers and participants from across North America. So, we'll ask the mesh founders to talk about the developments they've seen in the social media scene since the first mesh conference and then we'll have a chance to engage in a discussion with them about what the future may bring. We've booked Live@Courthouse for the evening. It's a much bigger venue than we've used before. But we're expecting that a good portion of the mesh attendees will join us for the evening. (We have Live@Courthouse thanks to CNW who agreed to sponsor this special Third Tuesday. Thank you CNW!) We have the entire facility - main floor and mezzanine - from 6PM to 8PM. At 8PM, a live jazz act will take over the stage for the regular Live@Courthouse programming. We'll continue to have the mezzanine all to ourselves for the rest of the evening. So come out to what promises to be a great kick off party to the mesh conference. Meet the speakers and mix with the attendees. And let's celebrate social media in Toronto. RSVP to let us know if you can attend.

It was a good prep for mesh!

A few too many speakers to stay focused. Understandably, they all wanted to get their two cents worth in on every question.

It was a good event - unforetunately the background noise from the bar area got a little loud towards the last 15 minutes

it was dood to note that those who are plowing the way are doing so while looking back for approving nods. It keeps eveyone honest and included.

It was fun! But most of all it was incredibly helpful - the five "Mesh" guys were great to listen to and really gave us some food for thought with respect to managing client expectations when it comes to social media.

The mesh guys showed wit and insight. Michael O'Connor Clarke as moderator kept things moving along. Live@courthouse was a great location. Lots of great people in the crowd willing to share. The best evening yet.

I thought that there would be more networking opportunities, and that there would be more facilitated discussion.
The panel was informative and knowledgeable.

This was my first event and I had a great time. Made some good connections and wonderful discussions. Looking forward to future meetings.

I really like the idea of the event, but as I was there alone and didn't really know anyone else there. For that reason I think name tags or something like that could be a nice way for people to break the ice when they are alone at the event.

It was good...presentation was better than expected since I had seen the speakers before but they had new details about Mesh which was helpful. A second camera for close ups would have helped those of us in the back but overall a good venue.
