There are some very nice, very smart, very welcoming people in this group. That was the main thing I took away from this. Most of the people I met are interested in spreading the word about the potential of social media, which is invigourating. People are passionate about it. As a place to learn about various aspects of SM, this is a great group for getting questions answered on how to apply SM in a variety of ways.
