Raven Cliff Falls (BACK) EXTRAVAGANZA, w/ A Brilliant WaterFalls Pack Lunch!

Ok, Trek Boogie'in 35Upper's, in Atlanta, never fear, Raven's Back!: (Note: Turn your clocks back 1 hour - or you'll be an hour late!)

Join your Mingling in Atlanta & 35Up friends in exploring Raven Cliff Falls. It is a brilliant wonder to behold, and the hike in is almost equally as stunning. This is Georgia's most beautiful & frequented hiking trail and begins at the intersection of Dodd & Bear Den Creeks. Trout fishing abounds here, and it is unusual to see any of the available camping sites along the creeks empty on any weekend. On the path several additional waterfalls add to the pleasure of this trek.
Short cascades and rip lets of whitewater produce a relaxing gurgle during a significant portion of the hike. The 2 1/2 mile path is rarely more than 50 feet from the creek, and this eastern facing cove has an abundance of wildlife.  The approach to the Cliffs is the highlight of the trip. A quick climb and loud noise impart the message of the approaching Waterfall. The water rushes through a split in the rocks and splashes down in cascades to the bottom. A short path leads to the top of the falls & the abundance of large creek boulders, below, provide ample falls observatory seating and magnificent photography shooting. (Hike=Level=D2/RT=5miles).
