I can't believe it's almost a year since we visited Dixie Tavern. Its always a hit and used to be one of our regular hangouts. Let's take a break and visit Georgia's landmark for Great Music, Great Food and Fun place for years. So let's go back to our favorite watering hole where it all started with the original food and drink discounts.
Dixie Tavern has an established reputation in the Atlanta area for delivering the best live talent and drink specials. So let's get together to play some free pool, free live music & have a blast. Live music will be performed by "Zach Paxon".
Also there will be Trivia at 7pm. William R. Smith will be our Team Captain.
Dixie Tavern (Windy Hill and Cobb Pkwy) will provide our Meetup group with the following Specials: Yes that's right; our members will get Buy one house drink & get one of the same on house (BOGO well drinks, house wine, or domestic beer) & Free Pool. (Please enjoy safely & don't drink and drive). And don't forget to tip your servers on full price.
Name tag required for specials:
- Free drink - First round BOGO of any Well drink, domestic beer, or house wine. After you purchase your first drink, they will mark off your name tag and give you a ticket for free drink.
- Free Pool - 2 tables are reserved for us on first come first serve
- $2 Dixie Pints
- $4 all well drinks and more
- All food is 50% off the menu price (most expensive Entree is $9.95, so you pay 4.98)
- Free Live entertainment/music by Zach Paxon at 9pm
- no cover charge

Tavern is open late so feel free to come after work (name tags available till 7pm), and enjoy as late as you like with your new/old friends. I plan to be there till 10 or 11pm.

PS: This is a over 21 bar in Cobb county which allows smoking inside. I personally don't like smoke but this place isn't bad, besides they do have outside patio seating as well; however please plan accordingly.

What a great night and all the pool sharks (Mark,Hank,Debbie, Jack,Martha,Lewis,Daniel,William) that came out -my my my yes pool sharks - awesome evening and a great send off for Bob who will truely be missed !!! I hear Bob is hosting a meet in Oregon lololol....Great night Thank you Bob - Kathryn- Bruce out standing job and Bob we will continue the tradittion of Dixie Traven for you as we know you will be there in spirit with 35UP! celebrating!

I have re-opened the RSVPs till 5pm or an hour before the event. Looking forward to seeing Y'all tonight. Thanks for all the awesome emails I have received for farewell and I really appreciate them and will cherish for ever. I can always look back at them and re-live all the fun & good times we had.
Hopefully this is not a Good Bye, and I will see you from time to time as I visit my house here (which is up for rent BTW :)), and will host events; and to possibly return for good in 2years too.November 7
