35UP! Roswell's Authentic Covered Bridge Scoot B4 Chaplins' Patio Dining!

Hello Fellow Trail Boogie'in Hounds:

Join your 35Up friends in the heart of Roswell, at the Covered Bridge Trailhead for Vickery Creek (w/2 new restrooms).   We are going to do 5 miles, to begin shaping our Spring booty!  & of course, we will be watching closely for Vickery's Great Blue Heron along this beautiful creek feed into the Chattahoochee.  35Up's trail scoot & Great Blue Heron search will begin at Vickery’s beautiful Covered Bridge, and with the exception of a few short steep stretches alongside the creek-ravine bluffs and gorges, the terrain is fairly level. (Easy Level D-2,)  We will include a stop at the spillway dam, which fed the mill wheel in a factory downstream. Supplying textiles for Confederate uniforms, the mill was a primary target for Gen. William Sherman whose troops destroyed the facility during the Civil War. The trails along Big Creek are very scenic with the sound of a rushing mountain creek and waterfall. The search will be led by Memphis Russ, a seasoned explorer with intimate knowledge of the Vickery Creek Trials.

**Please try to arrive by 10:15 so we can start the hike at 10:30 p.m. on the dot :)

..~~ Hwy. 120 from Marietta to Roswell, crosses Atlanta Street, in Roswell, to become Mill Street. Follow Mill Street down the hill, as far as you can go.  You'll see our covered bridge parking lot & trail-head sign.

- Suggestion: ankle protecting trail shoes

Wow! Word must have gotten out how beautiful Roswell's Vickery is, in the winter. We all love newbie's so, don't worry about making friends, here! You will have tons of new friends by the end of the event. Oh, I majored in weather and the rain stops at 8 a.m.-- and Vickery is not one of those messy muddy trails. So, get out of bed late---take a shower--brush those glimmers, put some shorts on and come on down & enjoy this 72* spring like day with our, especially hospitable 35UP group! Oh, & don't worry that Vickery has 10 intersections that end up at Chaplins or Alabama, or South Carolina----That's why I'm here! :) :)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
