Bear with me again on this difficult but rewarding climb to the summit of Bear Mountain! With an elevation gain of 1,803 feet, this trek is a challenging heart-pumper consisting of four levels or "steps" to a summit with panoramic views of Flagstaff's snow-capped peaks! After crossing two washes, the trail starts a gradual ascent and then begins a 450 foot switchback that is steep and rocky. SOME MINOR ROCK SCRAMBLING IS REQUIRED! After a couple of false summits along the way, you reach the true top at 6,453 feet! Optional lunch afterwards at Olde Sedona 1405 W. Hwy 89A Sedona[masked]
