Fitness Hike at Shaw Butte 5:30pm

This hike will be done as a clock-wise loop.

Distance: 4.5 miles with an elevation gain of about 800 feet in 1.2 miles

This is not recommended for beginners because of Pace and will be dark!  

UPDATE**** MIKE SNOW will be leading the hiking group **** We start promptly at 5:30. Please arrive a few minutes early, we don't like to leave anyone behind but need to start on time.

This is a fitness hike. We will be keeping a fast pace, some of us may run a little on the flater areas (You don't have to!). There is no sweep, so must be familiar with the area. Hike at your own risk. Please evaluate your ability before attending.

We will meet at the Visitor Center on the west side of 7th St., just south of Thunderbird. There is a circular seating area in front of the Center by the restrooms, this is where the trail head starts.

    I havent done a weekday hike in a while, and will be in Sedona on Wed with out-of-state family, so I better get a fitness hike in when I can! :)
