Monday Morning 32nd st south of Shea

Sondra is leading a hike in the Phoenix Mountain Preserve at 32nd Street south of Shea Blvd. This is a hike that will start at the 32nd street park entrance and will begin the loop on the 100 trail then continue to the 1A trail, to the 304 trail then return via 8 trail to the 100 trail back to 32nd street. The parking area is small here.

The trail is less traveled here. The beginning of the hike is relatively flat but you start to climb near Piestawa area. You will have a good workout with this hike but it's not difficult. The hike is approximately 4 miles.

This is an INTERMEDIATE hike. Be sure you evaluate your abilities and plan accordingly.

Be sure to BRING & DRINK plenty of water. The hike is approximately 2 hrs long. We are still experiencing High Heat so water & electrolytes are critical.

Sorry for the late cancellation, but my feet can't hike today.

No problem - it was a sluggish hike anyway. Humidity - ugg!

Sadly, this wicked sinus infection is still with me so I have to beg out. Sorry all.

Would be a pretty hike, alright. But I'm already at work--outdoors--and on my feet at 5am (summer work hours 5am to 1:30pm), not able to make this hike. Must be nice, though, for you to have the sort of hours that allow hiking at this time of morning :D
