Abineau / Bear Jaw Loop, a scenic loop hike on the north side of the San Francisco Peaks. The trail passes through large Aspen forests, if luck is on our side they may even have some fall colors.

Bell Road & I17~ Frys M&I Parking lot.
10:15AM for those meeting at the trail head
We will be going north on Hwy 180 to the second FR151 turn off (past the Nordic Center) then follow FR418 (to the left) to the trail head.
Abineau Bear Jaw loop Distance Round Trip ~7 miles. For stronger hikers, the loop has some steep parts and is at significant elevation.
Trail head Elevation: 8510 feet
Elevation Gain: 1960 feet
Accumulated Gain: 2115 feet
Avg Time Round Trip: 4-5 hours .
