Benefit hike - Lost Dog Wash Trail

THIS HIKE IS A BENEFIT HIKE, FOR THE ARIZONA SHELTIE RESCUE AND COLLIE RESCUE ANIMAL SHELTERS. THE COST OF THIS HIKE IS $10.00 PER PERSON. FEEL FREE TO DONATE MORE, IF YOU SO CHOOSE. I will be hosting a benefit hike, for the Arizona Sheltie and Collie Rescue Animal Shelters. A few years ago, I adopted two puppies from a non profit animal shelter, and I would like to assist the non profit shelters, by raising much needed funds, for these non profit organizations. Also, it's a great way to celebrate my dogs' (Thelma and Louise) birthday. This is a dog friendly hike, so bring your canine friends along for the fun. A representative from Arizona Sheltie Rescue will be on site, after the hike, if you are looking to adopt a new friend or two, or if you would like further information, about the organization.

All donations should be cash or you can make a check payable to Arizona Sheltie Rescue

This is an easy hike, of 4.4 miles. There are several trails to choose from, should you wish to make your hike longer and harder or shorter and easier.

Specifically asked if the terrain was acceptable for my "pet stroller"! Was told it was wide and mostly dirt except for one wash area! Completely false! The terrain was narrow and totally rocky! Hiked in a mile (carrying my dog and the stroller) before turning around! I would have normally left him at home but "I asked" and was even offered help (which I never got) but nobody even bothered to wait! Just took my $10.00 donation and left me in the dust! Very disappointed! Plus my stroller is now broke!

Nice short trail, for a dog walk. Thanks everyone for coming out today. We raised $260 for the animal rescue groups! Hopefully Hershey and Oreo will find their forever homes soon too.

Good to get back out hiking again. I've been lost for a little while now and this hike is helping me find my way back thanks to my hiking friends.

FABULOUS! Not only enjoyed petting lots of great dogs and hiking a gorgeous morning (oh yeah, and talking to humans), but also brought home biscuits and sniffs for my anti-social Jindo. Thanks Sarge!

I have a silly question! I have a 15 year old dog! He is pretty active and can do easy hikes but not 4 miles! I have a pet stroller for him! How is the terrain on this trail? Is a stroller do able? Would love for him to get some fresh air if possible! He could walk some and ride some etc...Whatcha think?? Thanks!

The trail isn't all that rocky, it's mostly dirt. I have four other hikers with me personally, so we can take turns helping with him, if you need it.
