Boulder Canyon Hike

Time: Meet at the marina at 10 am we will start promptly at 10:10 am.

Length: about 5 miles total/round trip (out and back format). The trail keeps going if the group wants more of a challenge.

Rating/Difficulty: Moderate to difficult,  depending on skill level.

Accumulated Elevation Gain: 600 feet +/-

Hiking Time: 2 hours +/-

We will be hiking the Boulder Canyon Trail which starts across from the Canyon Lake parking lot, off of route 88. The trail leads straight up the mountain, across from the lake, so it would be considered moderate to difficult, depending on your skill level. The views from the top of the summit are stunning. You will see great views of Canyon Lake, Weaver's Needle, Battleship Mountain, Geronimo Head, and LaBarge Canyon. We will take a short snack break at the summit before returning the way we came.

Directions: Take U. S. 60 east to Idaho Road, exit north. Follow Idaho Road to Route 88 (Apache Trail), heading east. Stay on this road for 15 miles, until you reach Canyon Lake Marina, just past the second bridge. Park on the WEST side of the parking lot (close to the road). Bathrooms are located at the EAST end of the parking lot in the restaurant.

OR:
For those coming down the 101 to the 202, it is suggested that you exit at Brown Road (rather than going down to US 60) and take it east about 5 miles to AZ 88, and then left to Canyon Lake Marina.

Please note: The marina is 40 minutes away from Power Rd. & Brown Rd., in Mesa, so adjust your time accordingly.

Carpool: There is no official carpool. Please feel free to arrange your own.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
