Join me for this always enjoyable and very scenic trip to Fremont Saddle and an amazing view of one of our most recognizable rock formations, Weaver's Needle.
This is a 4.6 mile moderate hike in an out and back format. We are not returning on the Cave Trail
Come and enjoy the remarkable scenery and rock formations as well as our desert landscape. The Superstition Mountains, what a great venue for an after Thanksgiving relaxing hike.
This area is considered a wilderness area, therefore we will maintain a limit of 15 for this hike.
Directions to the trailhead: Follow US 60 east of Phoenix toward Apache Junction and then Gold Canyon. Exit just east of mile post 204, turning left on Peralta Rd. After a short while it turns dirt, passable by all vehicles. Follow this road and the signs ending at the Peralta trailhead.
Carpool arrangements and suggestions should be made through the comment section of this hike. I will gladly include a car pool spot, say at Power Rd. and US 60 if anyone can suggest a spot. I am not familiar...
