Happy Holidays everyone! Please join me in my annual Dec 25th traditional hike. This year, I’d like to go to the base of Weaver’s Needle. I’ve only been there twice before and we did lose the exact trail but we got to the base nonetheless. So, know that I’ll do my best to find the trail but we might bushwhack a little to get up or down the base and find THE trail.
This is NOT a beginners’ hike. At the same time, this will not be a ‘fitness’ hike although I’ll go along at a comfortable 2.5 mph pretty steadily. We may not have a ‘sweep’ which is a person who stays last on the trail to make sure everyone is on trail. If someone wants to volunteer to do that for us, perfect. But if not, then we will all need to keep pace with each other. No dogs on this hike due to the length and steepness of portions of the trail.
We’ll stop at the base of the needle for lunch and to marvel at the views.
Length: about 8.5 miles
