Hometown: A Planet Far, Far Away
February 28, 2007
Reformed semi-recluse looking to hike/backpack/explore with other outdoor enthusiasts while observing more of the flora, fauna and geology of Arizona. Oh yea, and meet people.
You want me to do WHAT???!!! Oh, wait. I already do that!
Grand Canyon, Four Peaks, Supes, Flat Iron, Havasu Falls to mention a few. Also, New Zealand, Switzerland, India, and the list goes on.
Can't tell you! That's where all the bodies of littering, trail-cutting, orange peel-dropping, thoughtless hikers are buried!
Yes! Trails with dirt, rocks, trees, bugs, boulders, plants, and a few people are preferred. Water is optional.
Build endurance, increase speed. Hike until I'm in my eighties without breaking any bones or falling to my death.
I have yet to meet someone that I would feel compelled to bludgeon to death for the good of the many.
Really cool insect photos. You have some unique ones in that collection. A buddy of mine has a huge collections, but I prefer the photos.
O.K. so it's coming up on a year since I first hiked with Triple H and YOU were leading. You need to come out and give Jim and Mark a break on leading these fitness hikes! Hope all is well.
So you are still alive and kicking! If you dont get out and hike anymore, of course your buns are going to expand big time!!! My fellow hikers felt sorry for me hearing my tale of woe about how you kept sticking me with names and a nameless leader who also has those extrordinary computer powers saved me..... Hit the long trails again so I can pick on you again.
Does everybody on a "Planet Far Away" have long feet??
Thanks for making me feel welcome at the Wednesday night fitness hike. I know I dragged the wagon going out, but I made mid-pack on the way back! I'll work on those uphill runs (wheww!).
Hope to see everyone at Dreamy Draw again Weds.
Thanks for looking out for me. Much appreciated.
Going for an overnight tonight in the supes. Will be trying out a new pack and stove. See if I can get my carry weight under 25 lbs. Looking for future hikes, see you out there.
Thanks!!! Willow Valley was a great introduction back to hiking! Thanks for organizing it. See ya on the next hike.
Greetings. You are coming on the Goat Canyon hike. I live in central Phoenix and have plenty of extra space.( 2 spare bedrooms ) . You are welcome to them. It is still about a 35 minute drive from here though. Look forward to meeting some new backpackers, see you there either way.
I really like the photo of the lizard in your photos section
