The Tidewater Chapter is a local chapter of Autism Society of America. Our mission is to improved the lives of all affected by autism. Anyone who is affected can join this Meetup group and attend our monthly meetings.
Whether through Advocacy, Education, or Support, our mission is simple: Improving the Lives of All Affected by Autism. We are YOUR community.

Service Providers who join the meetup group are prohibited from advertising through meetup. However, they can do so through sponsorships at events, providing flyers for the information rack in our resource center or by purchasing an advertisement in our newsletter. We will also add your information to our resource directory as courtesy upon approval. When our resource directory is updated with your information we will inform meetup members that a new provider has been provided to the resource directory ONLY.

Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the Autism Society Tidewater Virginia, a grassroots local non-profit organization connecting families and individuals with Autism to the resources and support that they need when they need them. Our goal is to raise funds for the continuation of our mission of creating these connections, empowering everyone in the Autism community with the resources needed to live fully.
Early Packet Pick-Up: is on Saturday April 27th, 2024 from 11- 2 PM. It will be at 741 Eden Way N, Ste 310, Chesapeake, VA 23320
Check-In: Between 8:00 and 8:50 AM near the Registration tent.
5K will begin at 9:00 AM. Prizes will be for the top 3 male and top 3 female runners.Costume Contest: Prizes will be awarded for best dressed superhero, most villainous villain, and best family of heroes.
More event details: From 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, we will have a diversity of exhibitors including local providers, and sensory inclusive activities. The costume contest will award prizes to the best dressed individual and family regardless of superhero or villain status. Finally, make sure to stop by our many exhibitor tables, they are invaluable resources and tools for your journey navigating Autism.Questions: Please call/text our office at 757-461-4474.
