Not really. My family has passed TJ to go to Ensenada a couple of times.
As much as I can. Even with poorer areas, I'm trying to find volunteering opportunities, but I feel that I should wait till my spanish is better before venturing into that.
I do have a U.S. passport. I am willing to get me a Sentri card.
I'm just someone interested in learning more about another country, and since Mexico is in my backyard, I really want to explore the country, even if it is just Tijuana.
The food, the people, the atmosphere, the culture, the music, the language, Tijuana is so close to San Diego, but worlds apart in many different aspects. Rebecca and Adam, the organizers, along with a meetup group of 8-15 people, will dive into the boarder city, checking out the various restaurants, bars, and museums. I have enjoyed both the times I have went, and everyone that I meet there are positive about the trip. You will have a good time, trust me.
