The TINTED VISION Filmmakers Group is a community for current and aspiring filmmaking professionals of all types who, at the end of the day, want to do one thing: create great narrative or non-fiction cinematic work. Whether the format be short films, feature films, web series', music videos, spec commercials, TV pilots, or anything else in between, the goal is to conceive of a project, develop it, and PRODUCE IT.
The unfortunate reality is that many writers and filmmakers come up with great ideas that just never go anywhere. Whether it's because those people lack money, resources, motivation, or confidence, they sadly fall into the category of "Talkers", rather than "Doers".
There are thousands upon thousands of talented and motivated artists in the New York area: writers, directors, actors, cameramen/women, editors, producers, production designers, composers/musicians, make-up / hair / special fx artists, costume designers, sound-men/women, sound designers…and most of the time, all that's needed to get a project made is a great idea, and the ability to network and get the right people and resources involved to make it happen.
Whether you work behind the camera or in front of it; welcome! We also encourage those on the business side to join us as well: entertainment lawyers, distributors, potential investors, film or actor reps, festival programmers, line producers…anyone who is motivated and dedicated to helping good cinematic works get made and seen are also warmly welcome.
If you have an idea for a project you want to do:
1. introduce yourself and your project
2. post the script or the outline / treatment for people to see
3. and let's get it made!
And if you have any talents or resources you'd like to offer to either a current or future project, introduce yourself and make yourself known.
We'll be setting up a database of this group's members and what they have to offer soon, to help people find each other in a snap.
Talking has it's place...Let's *DO*. And again, welcome to The TINTED VISION Filmmaking Group.
